Complementing the UAE’s vision of a human settlement on Mars, Galerija 12 leveraged detailed world-building to showcase a proposed Martian colony governance model, future city architecture and advanced transportation. The settlement was brought to life by the extensive design of all its aspects, followed by the digital production of a hyper-realistic CG 3D environment.
To allow visitors to best experience the vast Mars 2117 habitat, Galerija 12 prototyped a console, tailor-fitted to the World Government Summit venue, with corresponding state-of-the-art VR hardware and custom-developed software. Interrelated hand-motion tracking technology, motion-tracking cameras and an augmented smartwatch enabled visitors to see and use their hands in the virtual experience without wearing any tech, which was a pioneering solution at the time.
